It's been nearly seven months since B.o.B dropped his unbalanced debut, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, that left critics and fans wondering where all the creative music he made previously had gone. What we got instead was a pair of relentless radio hits, "Nothin' On You" and "Airplanes," and a few tracks that served as reminders of what he's capable of creating. His latest cut, "Beast Mode," off his forthcoming No Genre mixtape, features a more fiery side of Bobby Ray. And at times it's reminiscent of his earlier hip-hop-centric output. But it remains to be seen if this will be the only track of its kind on No Genre or if he plans on returning to his roots.
No Genre is due out Dec. 7.
