Blur: Interview at NME Awards (Video)
The most anticipated performance at last night’s NME Awards was the reformation of Britpop figureheads Blur. The show ultimately only featured singer Damon Albarn and guitarist Graham Coxon, who performed a stripped down version of “This is a Low” from Parklife.The twosome put their various feuds behind them to talk about the performance and the band’s oft rumored reformation. Albarn seems nervous while Coxon still resembles a cross between an idiot savant and Colin from Mike Leigh’s Meantime. This surprisingly high quality fan shot video captures the performance of “This is a Low,” which remains one of their most affecting songs.
