Two days ago, we premiered the X:144 remix to Blueprint's latest single, "So Alive." Fellow Prefix writer Chris Bosman noted that the remix, along with the original, are "wildly insistent." And you can catch the vibe right from the jump of the spirited, percussion-driven track that has Blueprint getting his Janelle Monae-on. Given the erratic nature of the song, it only makes sense that the visuals are equally caffeinated. They jump from one perspective to the next as it goes from Blueprint standing in a city at night to a point-of-view shot of a paper airplane. It's experimental and artsy without being too much of either while also remaining wholly accessible.
There are limited hand numbered red 12" vinyl singles with remixes available on tour and at the Fifth Element site. It's also available on iTunes. Blueprint's Adventures in Counter-Culture is due out April 5.
