Blu: "ez" (Prod. Madlib)
So you know that new Black Star track, "Fix Up," produced by Madlib? Well, OkayPlayer reports that the beat was actually given to reclusive West Coast rapper-producer Blu first. He apparently used it on "ez," a blunted, lo-fi track off a project recorded entirely over Madlib beats called ucla. We're not sure when said project will drop, if at all, though Blu has hinted in interviews that he would like to release it at some point in 2012. We'll have to wait and see if that happens, of course, and who else is willing to bet that it appears online without warning? Stream "ez" below and download it here. [2DBz]
