The fellas over at La Blogotheque’s Take Away Show have been trying to rope Bloc Party into filming a clip for them since the group’s debut, Silent Alarm, was released in 2005. They finally succeeded after a Bloc Party show in France recently, however—they ambushed the band as they were leaving the venue, and convinced frontman Kele Okerke to do an acoustic version of “This Modern Love” with guitarist Russell Lissack. Okerke is kind of a whiner—he tries to wiggle his way out of the performance by saying his throat is sore—but he and Lissack deliver a wonderful, fragile performance. [via Pitchfork]
