Blitzen Trapper's 2011 album American Goldwing seemed more personal to the group, with lead singer Eric Earley remarking that a lot of the sounds you hear on the record were the ones he grew up with. They let their classic rockisms fly more proudly without muddying it with weirder avenues. It was a nice addition to the long tradition of "chooglin'" records.
The record had its quieter moments, like on the largely acoustic "Girl In A Coat." The track gets its own video now, featuring a lonely old man possibly recollecting memories while Blitzen Trapper wail away silently on a flickering television. Watch the video below. [Rolling Stone]
