When you’re going for whole anonymous artist making mysterious, homemade music thing, making your pseudonym a reference to freemasons and Aleister Crowley is a pretty good place to start. Dawn Golden and Rosy Cross is a twenty-four year old Chicagoan and that’s all he’s letting anyone know. Hop over to Bandcamp, and you can find the six-song EP Blow available for download at a buck a song. “Blacks” is the second piece on Blow, and its kind of a monster, amalgamating the witch house of Salem and the ghosted R&B of How To Dress Well into a tragic and affecting piece of haunted bedroom pop. Check out “Blacks” below, and the rest of the Blow EP at this link.
