Black Milk: "Oh Girl" f. AB
There's a damn good reason fellow Prefix'er Craig Jenkins gave Black Milk's Album of the Year a 9.0 in his review: It's flat-out fantastic, amazing, cohesive, banging, [insert superlative here]. The Detroit producer-rapper could have easily delivered a solid follow-up to his previous record,Tronic, and I'm pretty sure we would have been fine with it. But this? Damn, Black Milk, I know the album title is a reference to the past year of your life but this really might live up to its name in terms of year-end lists. Here, we have another leak from the record, which dropped today, and it's one of his more borderline-softer tracks as "Oh Girl" lyrically tackles just what you might think -- females. It's not that soft, though, thanks to Black Milk adding a celebratory vibe to the track with some huge drums and smooth hook from crooner AB.
