This track from Chicago's Black Ladies isn't contained enough to call it a quick burst. But this thrashing noise does something quick. Overwhelm you with its size, maybe. Because, though it runs just over two minutes, the sound this duo is making is plenty big. Not wall of sound big, though. A wall implies there's something on the other side of this, while I'm pretty sure Black Ladies leave little more than spare carnage in their wake. As you can tell, it's hard to put you're finger on what makes "The Real Jurassic Park" a great, if cacophonic, song. But maybe that elusiveness is part of what makes it great. The track comes from Naked Caveman EP, which is available now. [Pitchfork]
