Let's be honest; most of the time the videos of musical acts performing on SNL are used as a way to discuss how awful that show has become. Because it is sooo awful right now, you guys. I mean, even me, a person with a well-established doctoral interest in the Black Eyed Peas (who performed an awkwardly choreographed version of "I Gotta Feeling" where one of the non-famous members of the group mugged for the camera horribly) is really only interested because SNL is so bad. And poor January Jones, going from a show that is not great but very pleasant (Mad Men) to a show that is not great and is very unpleasant (SNL/a show that will have the Black Eyed Peas on as a guest).
Mad Men is great. Start from the beginning.
Eh. I think Mad Men is okay. I watched it from the beginning, and while I was impressed by how great everything LOOKS on that show, I thought the stories were meh-city. I think Breaking Bad is the better show on AMC.
I was pretty impressed with the first season -- Draper's past aside -- but season 2 of Mad Men seemed all over the place. I didn't watch the third season, so maybe it was a lot of set up. But hell, drinking at work seemed cool. Taxing, but cool.
