Bjork and director Michel Gondry have resumed their working relationship for this clip of “Crystalline” from the forthcoming Biophilia. It’s a typically inventive piece from Gondry, with Bjork stuck in a ball in the sky that zaps light rays at a planet below. At times it’s reminiscent of vintage children’s TV shows that leaned hard on stop-motion animation, but there’s also plenty of digital graphics deployed here as well. The best part of the song and video is that Squarepusher-like breakdown at the end, which causes a blonde dancer to hop across the planet in a series of bubbles. Check it out above.
