Twenty years ago, rapper Biz Markie's "Just a Friend" had just finished its chart run after rising to the Number 9 spot on the Billboard singles chart. Now, two decades later, the former touring mate of the Beastie Boys has released a new version of the track, subtitled "Earth Day Remix" for the 40th anniversary of Earth Day.
It's not so much a remix as a reworking -- the Biz has added new, ecologically-conscious lyrics to his original musical track. The song was released in conjunction with Repower America, a climate protection action fund, who also put out the video. [Nah Right]
