Birdman: "Y U Mad?" F. Nicki Minaj & Lil Wayne

If you're anything like us, you probably like your Young Money singles grimy and bitter rather than floaty and poppy. If that's the case, then you, too, probably can't help digging "Y U Mad?", the lead single from Birdman's forthcoming Bigger Than Life album. It features the Young Money CEO teaming up with two of his closest pals, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, for a goofy-but-angry joint full of shit talking, thudding drums, and equal parts quotables and groan-inducing punch lines. Even though Nicki does spit a few dunce cap-worthy bars, this is how we'd like to hear her rapping. She keeps the animated vocals to a minimum and just straight spits, something she hasn't really been doing too much of lately.
