If you have been keeping tabs on our album reviews section, you might have noticed that Bill Callahan's Apocalypse received one of the highest ratings of the year thus far. Prefix's Dan Nishimoto gave the album an 8.5, noting that "[t]he peculiarity of Apocalypse is for all its virtues it also feels impenetrable." He also wrote that Callahan deserves credit "then not just for his latest vision, but for how he's done it." With that in mind, you can't blame us for being drawn to the singer-songwriter's Daytrotter Session. It kicks off with "Honeymoon Child," off 2009's Sometimes I Wish We Were an Eagle, and only gets better from there.
Head to Daytrotter to listen.
