The album version of Bilal's "Think It Over," which is found on Airtight's Revenge, was one of his more concise, straightforward tracks. The love-lost anthem relied heavily upon a bluesy acoustic guitar line and steady drum beat, which made for a smooth, easy listen. But here, producer (and also DJ/rapper) Exile has chopped up the instrumentation while adding hand claps, chanting vocals, and more to completely transform the listening experience. It's disorienting at first, especially after being so well acquainted with the original, but it certainly works. For those who have heard both*, which do you prefer?
