I'm so glad that Beyonce had also decided to start using uptempo beats as well and create something new for open minded people. This change in music, where we seem to be headed in more of a dance music/electronic direction is good because finally people are becoming creative and starting to want to change things up from the same old boring slow songs that took over when dance "died" in 2002-2003. Finally things are changing so much that even mainstream radio can't ignore it and people who aren't open minded will now be forced to open up or at least hear different styles of music. With what is going non now, eventually, this could lead to a return of booty bass, house, and freestyle dance, but in a modernized, nu school sound. Hopefully people don't overdo it and kill it kind of like they did reggaeton. We need more creativity, and less people just trying to make a quick radio/club hit for the quick buck. That type of stuff only leads to more and more people doing that, causing stations and the industry to all sound alike, which only further brainwashes the close minded to be more close minded to music, then it would be even harder for creativity and new styles to pop up. We need more people to change the game, and then and only then will things change as people get used to creativity, and tyhen the radio and MTV wont be so afraid to try or to play something different! Tired of everything sounding the same. Lets change it up Fast beats, Slow beats, Mid tempo....etc - not just the same ol' slow crap all talking about the same stuff all the time. People make fun of the 80's and 90's, but this decade of music 2000-2010? I can only imagine how bad it will be when people look back. Lets start changing things up now! Beyonce, good job, even though I know this fast beat she used is only to go along with the trends, but still she always makes good music and knows how to change with the times. Thanks to Missy and her 1,2 step, people have realized in the rhythmic r&b/pop/hip hop category that being creative and using electronic dance style beats and elements can be successful. She realizes that hip hop and dance were both born from the same seed. |

This is the kind of progression I would like to see in all artist, the hard work and dedication and commitment to the music that is produced but few exemplify such qualities. Beyonce is one of them and there are others but there are few. Beyonce might not have the strongest voice but she knows how to use her voice creatively which gives her an edge and an advantage in the industry. She also knows how to incorporate her voice into her songs which is critical for a singer. She knows when to hold notes and she knows when to tone it down. She knows how to perform, from costumes, to makeup, to dancing..... She knows how to write or co-write her own music and produce her own vocals and melodies, how many artist do this now a days? She has other talents as well and many endorsement deals. People wish they could be in her shoes and that jealousy stems into hate. Jealous ones need to quite being envious and be happy for those who reach success, maybe that hatred is keeping you from reaching happiness or any success of your own. Beyonce God has blessed you and you are thankful and that is why He continues to grant you success. Bottom Line is there will only be one Beyonce, she has something unique and that is why I believe she will reach Legend Status. |
