Best Coast: Daytrotter Session
The latest Daytrotter session is one that has a nice little story to go along with it. And it's an important one considering this one with Best Coast actually stems back to October/November 2009. Back then, the Daytrotter folks ventured to Los Angeles, where, among other things, they recorded a six-track set with Bethany Cosentino and company. None of the tracks stem from the band's heralded debut, Crazy For You. Instead, they all come from their various limited releases that dropped over the past year or so, which means we get to hear scuzzy live takes on cuts like "Sun Was High (So Was I)" and "Wish He Was You." That also means this is a must-download for you Best Coast fans.
