
It always boggles my mind -- well, a little bit at least -- when movies that look so terrible, such as Arthur, boast such strong soundtracks. I mean, didn't the second Twilight have like Lykke Li, Thom York, and Death Cab for Cutie? Actually, that reminds me of how Death Cab's tunes have shown up in a fair amount of films, which makes sense considering the heavily emotional aspect of the music.
With that in mind, it's only fitting that the folks behind Arthur chose Death Cab frontman Ben Gibbard's latest solo tune, "When the Sun Goes Down on Your Street" for its soundtrack. Expect this gentle, mostly acoustic number to play in the background when Russell Brand realizes he's done Jennifer Garner wrong as he's gazing out a window. Or something like that.
