Belle & Sebastian and Teenage Fanclub are teaming up in rainy New York tonight for an all-Scottish outdoor double bill at the Williamsburg Waterfront. The headline act showed up on Jimmy Fallon’s show last night (Sept. 29) to offer a glimpse of what to expect, with these performances of “Write About Love” from the album of the same name and “Piazza, New York Catcher” from Dear Catastrophe Waitress.
Questlove from the Roots joins the band on drums for both of these performances, and Stuart Murdoch looks very dapper in a suit as the group works through the breezy, soulful groove of “Write About Love.” But why are people in the audience behind the band taking notes throughout?

Maybe the note-takers are a jokey reference to the title? If so, it's not very funny.
But the performance is fantastic. I think B&S are one of the greatest and most underrated live acts going.
Ah yes, you're probably right. I wonder if we'll get to see their efforts.
Anybody going to see them tonight at the Williamsburg Waterfront?
