A lot of the time music critics slap comparisons to established, venerable acts on new bands due to a mixture of descriptive laziness and kneejerk enthusiasm. Bell is one of the rare exceptions whose dark, warm electronics and distinctive vocals actually earn her comparisons to Bjork and Radiohead. "Magic Tape" shows Bell's musical exploration pushing further towards the edge, even if she's not willy-nilly running over it like the two artists mentioned previously.
