Pocket, AKA Richard Jankovich, has done a remix juxtaposing Beck’s “Gamma Ray” with Jay Reatard’s cover (which appears on the official single). The results? The ensuing mix removes some of “Gamma Ray”’s flatness, and somehow makes the song seem even more psychedelic than it did before. I found myself wishing that Jay Reatard’s portion was more highlighted, but it is Beck’s song after all.
