The Beastie Boys have a new album due later this year, titled Hot Sauce Committee. No release date has been set for the record, but the Boys showed up on Jimmy Fallon’s talk show last night (May 25), where they spoke to the host and promoted the reissue of their seminal 1992 album, Check Your Head.
They joined forces with the Roots to perform "So What'cha Want," which still sounds like one of the best songs in their canon. it's great that they're still doing music ... it's great that they're all mature and everything ... but maybe the energy level needs to be cranked up if they're performing the older songs ... hopefully the shows they're doing this year in real venues (as opposed to tv studios) will be a bit more dynamic ...
