Beach House: "Norway" (MP3)

Beach House, a band that has floated on the periphery of indie-dom for too long, are about to blow up Grizzly Bear-huge via their excellent Sub Pop debut, Teen Dream. "Norway," the first single from said album, showcases the pop moves the Baltimore duo makes on the album, but still has the haziness that creates a dense dreaminess on all Beach House tracks. Victoria Legrand is in full-on girl-group diva mode here, moaning and howling over the reverbed guitar lines of Alex Scally, same as it ever was.

Teen Dream is due out on Jan. 26 via Sub Pop.

Fantastic band. Fantastic song. There are so many times when BH, Mahogany, A Sunny Day in Glasgow, Windy & Carl etc fit my mood(s). *ahem* which reminds me: gotta add this to my to-buy list too.

Pretty fired up for this. Great, woozy mid-winter release.

Beach House really stepped up with this albomb.

Some thick stuff. Don't know how they filled out their sound even more, but they did. Good stuff.
