Beach House’s Teen Dream did rather nicely in all the year-end polls, so to celebrate the band went on Conan O’Brien’s show last night (Dec. 20) to play “10 Mile Stereo” from that record. Victoria Legrand sounds in fine voice throughout, and the band stretch out into that area of intense placidity that they have made their own over the past couple of years, where the surface calm of their music hints at something far more menacing underneath.
