New Yorkers Battles are demonstrating a poppier side to their armory with the upcoming Gloss Drop, which drops (if you’ll excuse the pun) on Warp in a couple of weeks. The band got dripped in paint for an excellent photo session for the Wire magazine this month, but they turn to more stately surroundings for this clip shot for La Blogotheque. This version of “Wall Street” was apparently shot in Paris at the Hôtel de Ville, although we’re relying on Google Translate for that information so it might not be 100% accurate. But it’s certainly a swanky location, and fans of the band should keep an eye on La Blogotheque because they’re promising more from the band in a few days’ time.
