Before Will Wiesenfeld gets to work on the second Baths album in November, he is apparently listening to a lot of Braids' still-great debut, Native Speaker. At least, that's the impression I'm getting from this fantastic cover of "Lammicken," a track we compared to something straight out of the Cocteau Twins' catalog. Wiesenfeld has retained that dreamy atmosphere in his version, but he's made it his own by adding his trademark shuffling and crunchy percussion. He also did away with the halting elements of "Lammicken," which makes the track sound that much more like a Baths original.
