Bat for Lashes: "Strangelove" (Depeche Mode Cover)
Natasha Khan's covers history as Bat for Lashes is well documented and includes last year's gorgeous take on Radiohead's "All I Need," among others. So it's no surprise that she opted to reinterpret another track as part of the campaign for the Gucci Guilty fragrance. Like her previous covers, she injects all of herself into Depeche Mode's "Strangelove" while still remaining close to the source material. Listening to her rendition, it feels like it was only a matter of time before she began digging into music such as this given what we heard on her two albums, Fur and Gold and Two Suns.
