Bat for Lashes

"Sleep Alone" (Live on KCRW) (Video)

Average Rating: 4.75

Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes took her band onto KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic to perform Two Suns' haunting "Sleep Alone" in studio. The performance is pretty close to the original, which apparently only takes a drummer, a programmed beat, a keyboardist who plays every once in a while and guitarist. Khan takes a break after the first verse to take her shoes off (I think) for some reason, but hey, whatever it takes.

Natasha Khan is simply amazing. One of those people that are clearly superior to the rest of us.

Had me hooked before any guitar or keyboard kicked in. And love the blase removal of shoes. I guess she could probably sing that well while she composed a grocery list.
