Don't worry, listening to Bass Drum of Death won't actually cause you to die from an excess of huge kicks or deep, chest-pummeling bass. Rather, you will probably become infatuated with these two Southern youngsters who blend garage-rock with doo-wop. Yeah, it sounds weird, we know, but you will become a believer after listening to their latest track, "Young Pros." It's a catchy, distorted jaunt that feels like someone put your favorite 1950s pop song through a cheese grater. It's off their forthcoming debut, GB City, which should be out soon.
Stream "Young Pros" below and be sure to stay tuned for our future SXSW announcements that just might feature BDOD.
