In the battle of the beards that runs rife through indie/alt rock, Band of Horses are solid contenders, with many of the band members sporting some impressive (if somewhat unkempt) facial fuzz. Ben Bridwell brought his men and their beards to Jools Holland’s show last night (April 20), where they performed “NW Apt.” from Infinite Arms.
Band of Horses may not be on Sub Pop any more, which seems odd as it was clearly a spiritual home of sorts for them, but they are plowing on regardless—and keeping the Seattle connection going by touring with Pearl Jam in May/June. Infinite Arms will be released on Fat Possum on May 18.
These guys seem to be preparing for their big break, no?
I think they're already pretty big. Maybe not MSG big, but they're definitely Terminal 5 big.
