Band of Horses are still on the road off the back of their Infinite Arms album, and they showed up on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (Sept. 21) to play “Laredo” from that record. This was another chance for the citizens of LA to witness some mild mannered rock on Kimmel’s vast outdoor stage, with the show now seriously threatening Jimmy Fallon’s position as the indie-and-chat king of late night TV.
This is a fairly unremarkable song from a fairly unremarkable album, but Ben Bridwell and his band probably don’t feel entirely comfortable in such surroundings, as witnessed by the bemused expressions on their faces throughout. To make matters worse, we don’t even get to hear the entire song, as it gets cut at the end for a commercial break. Those are the chances you take when you agree to perform under giant “BUD LIGHT” signs.
