One of my least favorite parts about Spinner's long-running performance series, Interface, is that all the performances are shot sans-audiences in an empty studio. No longer! Band of Horses packed New York's Grand Central terminal to play two tracks from their meh Infinite Arms recently, playing "Compliments" and "Factory." This band stopped sounding alt-country a while ago and now sound mall country, which probably doesn't bode well for their cred, but has the potential to break them big. Like packing Grand Central station big. "Compliments" is above, "Factory" is below.
The new songs do nothing at all for me. The old stuff, though, still holds up.
