Balam Acab: "Apart"

Things are looking good indeed for the upcoming Balam Acab full-length Wander/Wonder, due out Aug. 29 on Tri Angle Records. First we heard the gorgeous "Oh, Why" and now we get "Apart," a track that delves into the sexgaze trafficked by artists like How to Dress Well and the Weeknd. A heavily warped sample coos over a cavernous beat, set to a blunted static haze. It comes off like listening to a seduction in the bedroom of the party next door or trying to play old-school R&B underwater.
