The wait for the debut album from Boston-based new jack swing revivalists Bad Rabbits has been arduous. Luckily while they've been hammering out tracks with the assistance of the Deftones' Chino Moreno and renowned R&B architect Teddy Riley, they've tossed us a gem in the form of their Live Covers Session series, which features the band running through personal favorite songs in the studio. Earlier this year we got a rendition of the Deftones' "Sextape" as well as a muscular version of Michael Jackson's classic "Human Nature." Today's treat is a lightly new wave inflected cover of the Smashing Pumpkins' '90s alternative rock standard "1979."
