Avey Tare: "Lucky 1"
Panda Bear better get his diss tracks ready, as fellow Animal Collective member Avey Tare is dropping his debut solo album, Down There, come Oct. 26 on Animal Collective's Paw Tracks label. The first preview of Down There comes to us in the form of "Lucky 1," which features an abundance of square waves gone wild, while Tare does the typically Animal Collective thing of adding on rich, yearning vocals into the inorganic proceedings. I am seriously hoping this album strains relations between Avey and Panda, just so we can have a Speakerboxxx/Love Below split album from the group. "Lucky 1" is available for download here.
