Bradford Cox’s blogging exploits may not be as prolific at they once were, but he still drops by the Deerhunter blog to post the occasional Atlas Sound song and other curios. His latest post is an entry in the Atlas Sound Virtual 7-inch series, and is comprised of two songs, “Time Warp” and “Springtime Instrumental.”

Cox has moved away from the electronic sound that proliferated throughout the debut Atlas Sound album, and “Time Warp” has more in common with this low-key set of acoustic Deerhunter numbers than any of his past solo work. “Springtime Instrumental” is more upbeat, and bears a bright guitar sound reminiscent of the Sea and Cake.

The songs from “Time Warp,” which come complete with lyrics and brief liner notes from Cox, can be downloaded for free at the Deerhunter blog.
