Asobi Seksu: "Trails"
Nu-shoegazers Asobi Seksu return with "Trails," the first single from their upcoming LP Flourescence, due out Feb. 15 via Polyvinyl. While the track steers the band back towards the more conventional shoegaze sound that worked so well on their first two albums, complete with layers of seasick guitars and hypnotic drums, lead singer Yuki Chikudate goes a more dramatic route, her vocals aiming for more theatrical heights than the mild-mannered coo she employed before.
