Even though it's somewhat painful for me to admit this after his annoying-as-hell, fratboy-friendly "I Love College" blew up, Asher Roth can actually rap. Sure, his actual album kind of sucked, but his mixtapes released before and after that have shown he can put together a good song when the label isn't pressuring him. Case in point: "Muddy Swim Trunks" off his Seared Foie Gras With Quince & Cranberry mixtape. He's also made a rather entertaining video, which follows Roth as he waltzes around a marketplace with a Lootpack beat playing behind him. If he can pull off more tracks like this, I'll be completely sold on his skills. Also, unless it's OK to watch a video with a topless woman in it, wait until you get home to view this one.
I've never liked Asher Roth, but this is a great track and a great video. And you're right, he can actually rap.
