Asher Roth is attempting to bring his frat-boy rap to England, where he has, somewhat surprisingly found a willing audience. Amidst his blitzing promotional tour, he stopped by Jools Holland to perform "La Di Da," a song clearly chosen because it shows Roth's actual rapping, not his sloppy, faux-singing on "I Love College." During the verses, Roth is pretty solid, but during the choruses, he does some windless shouting that wears thin as the song goes along. I'm skeptical that this kid will ever be able to live down shilling straight to college kids, but this track at least proves he's got some marginal rapping talent.
Asher Roth's Asleep in the Bread Aisle is out now.
Asher's the truth!!!!

This guy is pretty poor after about 2 minutes of his hands in the air, cmon audience schlep I had to fast forward. His was the only performance on the whole show I fast forwaded. Some AnR guy picked him out of oblivion cause he sounds like that MnMs.
