Asher Roth is definitely not the first white boy to carpetbag in the world of hip-hop, but he is the first to tap into the frat market--Roth spends most of his rhymes talking about getting drunk with beerbongs, sleeping with random co-eds, and loving college. "I Love College" is coincidentally the title of Roth's first single from his upcoming debut LP, Asleep In The Bread Aisle (due out on April 21), and the song (and the above video) pretty much captures pretty much everything you need to know about him.

I could see this being a pretty big hit on college campus house parties, since the only thing that's better than getting drunk at house parties is talking endlessly about them. And thanks to Roth, they might actually have an anthem. 

Overall though, I think Roth will need to move away from the shtick pretty quickly, because he could be marginalized in short order (and probably already is).
