I know that part of hip-hop fame is having at least one song where you rep for your neighborhood, big-upping the place where you used to shit the bed/hang out/ freestyle, etc. But Asher Roth doing it is pretty corny, being that he came from a Philly suburb. In his new video for "Dontcha Wanna Be (My Neighbor)" he regales us with tales of Little League teams, how his birth was told in the stars, and a bunch of pop culture references. Nottz follows in kind, pretty much, but at least he doesn't dress up as Mr. Rogers. Instead, he just acts like that neighbor dude from Tim Allen's old show. Most noticeable thing here: Roughest hook on a major label-funded rap song this year. [Real Talk]
