Asher Roth: "Back Home" f. Chip Tha Ripper & Whatzisface
Earlier this week, Asher Roth dropped off a track, "More Cowbell," that sampled the widely loved Blue Oyster Cult Saturday Night Live skit. And while that was certainly worthy of posting, I admittedly missed it until hearing another Roth leak, "Back Home." As he showcased on the previous track, the native of Morrisville, Pa., is again proving the fact that his college days are long behind him. Here, he's rapping witty, clever bars alongside Whatzisface and Chip Tha Ripper, who all sound great over the equally funky and soul production from Blended Babies. It all makes for what is one of the best Roth tracks I have heard to date.
