Ariel Pink may be channeling Todd Rundgren and the Alan Parsons Project on his upcoming Before Today album, but that hasn’t stopped “Round and Round” from sounding like one of the summer songs of the season. Pink and his band dropped by Viva Radio to perform this stripped back version of the song.
Anyone hankering after Haunted Graffiti’s lo-fi roots will be satisfied here—this is “Round and Round” performed with human beatbox, a few stabs of keyboard, a kazoo and some barely discernible vocals. Someone needs to get Pink back on the Ritalin before the promotional duties for Before Today really kick in.
