Putting Ariel Pink on national TV might seem like a dicey proposition given his erratic recent performance in New York, but (thankfully) the ship was steadied somewhat when he was reunited with his full Haunted Graffiti band for last night’s appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show. This is a lush rendition of “Round and Round,” which sounds remarkably slick and more than justifies its high placings in just about every year-end poll in 2010. Pink’s clothes hint that he’s currently in the throes of a fairly major glam obsession—perhaps a direction he’ll head in when he gets around to figuring out the follow up to Before Today?

Maybe it's the glam get-ups but I kept thinking Bowie when he sang the low parts.
