Just yesterday Southern California weirdos Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti announced the schedule for their summer tour. Now the band has officially announced the reason for the trek: a new full-length entitled Mature Themes. The follow-up to 2010’s Before Today is due out August 21 via 4AD.
Mature Themes’ first single is, oddly enough, a cover. With guest vocals from tourmate DaM-FunK, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti gives a smooth, sultry rendition of Donnie and Joe Emerson’s 1979 soul ballad “Baby.” The 12” single for “Baby” is due out on July 9 via 4AD.
