Soul legend Aretha Franklin is set to return to the stage this month after going through a few troubling health problems at the end of last year. The singer also has a new album out this week, which is titled Aretha: A Woman Falling Out of Love, which was promoted by this performance of “Sweet Sixteen” on Jimmy Fallon’s show on Friday (April 29). Thankfully, Franklin is still in possession of that voice despite the passing years, and this track (coupled here with a version of “Freeway of Love”) has a perfectly fitting old-soul style arrangement that harks back to her glory days.
