Arctic Monkeys: "Reckless Serenade" (Live On Leno) (Video)
Alex Turner sported a ‘50s greaser haircut for his appearance on Jay Leno’s show last night (Sept. 26), which fits into that trend for the era seeping into the indie rock world at present (Dirty Beaches, that Best Coast video, etc.). “Reckless Serenade” is a medium-paced cut from Suck It and See that is more likely to win the favor of Leno’s audience than one of the band’s more reckless numbers, although it sounds a little toothless in comparisons to those songs. It doesn’t feel like Arctic Monkeys need to play that game after Suck It and See hit the Billboard top 20 on its release, but I guess this might squeeze a few more sales out of it for them.
