"Crying Lightning" (Live on Fallon) (Video)

Diddy’s favorite band of pasty Brits, Arctic Monkeys, showed up on Jimmy Fallon’s show last night (August 4) to promote their Humbug album. The band performed “Crying Lightning” from the record, which is driven be a bouncy bass line and some whirring fairground organ.

Producer Josh Homme doesn’t appear to have had a noticeable effect on the band’s overall sound if this track is a good example of Humbug’s overall direction. Turner wraps his familiar, sinewy vocals around the song, and the guitar sound remains clipped and sharp, meaning all the major Arctic Monkeys hallmarks are still firmly intact.

Alex Turner is starting to look like a long-lost member of the Bay City Rollers.
