Antony and the Johnsons: Various Tracks (Live on Pitchfork Live) (Video)

· by

Antony and the Johnsons are the latest band to have a concert taped by the folks at Pitchfork TV, as the band was caught during a set at Washington D.C.'s regal Sixth & I Historic Synagogue. The synagogue is the perfect setting for Antony's orchestral-tinged pop, and he is backed up by a robust strings section while he sits off to the side playing a piano. The performance is co-produced by NPR's All Songs Considered. The video for The Crying Light's "Kiss My Name" is above, with videos of four more tracks below ("Shake That Devil" is the highlight).

"Everglade"

"Fistful of Love"

"Twilight"

Jeez. This is even more staggering than I would expect it to be. I have GOT to see him live.
