Annie: "Anthonio" (Fred Falke Remix) (MP3)

I doubt that Fred Falke is walking around with a chip on his shoulder like the one Alec Baldwin was sporting in "Malice," but if the guy had the audacity to tell you that he was God, what could you really say in response? It's not like his remixes have parted the Red Sea or anything, but comparatively speaking, it seems like most other DJs, though certainly possessing honest intentions, end up with results that are just a few step above puttin' a bangin' donk on it. Falke, on the other hand, really dreams around a song and turns out remixes that are often wildly different than the original, like this remix for Annie's "Anthonio." Falke's changes completely sea change the hurt tone of the original, and make Annie's questions sound curious as opposed to pleading. It seems now that we've been waiting for Don't Stop forever, but tracks like this are just enough for us to stay patient.
